Iran US Talks

A Flydubai flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv made an emergency landing in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, after the co-pilot allegedly stabbed the captain and attempted to crash the aircraft with 180 passengers aboard. Iran received the US response to its seven-day Hormuz trust-building proposal via Qatari mediators, with Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi set to discuss it in Tehran.

A car-ramming attack at the Maccabim checkpoint in the West Bank seriously wounded Neriya Leiter, son of Israel's ambassador to the US, with the attacker shot dead at the scene. Iran's Supreme National Security Council secretary said Tehran gave Washington four to five days to meet conditions for reopening the Strait of Hormuz and resuming diplomacy. Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa told the UN General Assembly the Golan Heights will remain Syrian territory and demanded Israeli withdrawal to December 2024 lines.

A drive-by shooting near the West Bank settlement of Neve Tzuf critically wounded an Israeli man in his 30s, triggering an IDF manhunt. Israeli strikes continued across southern Lebanon overnight, and Saudi-led coalition forces intercepted a Houthi ballistic missile fired at Riyadh.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu formally rejected the US-backed Board of Peace 15-point Gaza plan, vowing no IDF withdrawal until Hamas is genuinely disarmed. Iran ruled out resuming direct talks with the US, citing breaches of the Islamabad MoU, while Houthi forces claimed a drone attack on Saudi Aramco’s Jizan refinery. In southern Lebanon, the IDF demolished a Hezbollah tunnel shaft and uncovered weapons caches, and Israeli forces advanced into Daraa and Quneitra countryside in Syria.
